With all the nasties going around now, we have gotten a ton of requests for hand sanitizer.
The good news:
After looking far and wide, we have finally been able to get our favorite hand sanitizer from Plaine Products back in store. Vegan, toxin-free, and probably the most waste-saving hand sanitizer out there.
This hand sanitizer is:
- 70% ethyl alcohol, exceeding the CDC recommendations for hand sanitizing
- Free of toxins, triclosan and palm oil
- Vegan with non-GMO ingredients; it’s blended with whole essential oils* (instead of synthetic fragrance)

*The addition of peppermint essential oil adds a more pleasant smell to the hand sanitizer. Peppermint essential oil also has significant antimicrobial and antiviral activities on its own, to help keep you safe and sanitized.
The bad news:
The reason why we had such a hard time getting this back in stock is that Plaine Products discontinued production at the end of 2023, despite being one of their favorite products. Since it is a product regulated by the FDA, it requires extra testing and certifications which cost significant time and money which didn’t make sense to continue to spend based on the amount that were selling. Plus they needed the production space for their other amazing products!
